My research aims to study the myeloid cell-tumor cell interaction in a 3D system that recapitulate the melanoma tumour microenvironment. I believe that this model will provide a valuable tool to dissect the contribution of myeloid cells (macrophages, myeloid derived suppressor cells and tolerogenic DCs) in influencing the efficacy of current cancer immunotherapy strategies.
